About the Program

The Romanian citizenship processing program is one of the few that is equally suitable for representatives of any profession: entrepreneurs, IT specialists, lawyers, or engineers. Obtaining a Romanian passport gives you the opportunity to secure an EU passport without the continuous renewal of visas and statuses, to travel freely, and to cross borders with ease. Romanian citizenship grants you equal opportunities with residents of the European Union, including the right to employment, education, and the acquisition of real estate.
The new status opens broad opportunities for professional and personal fulfillment, ensuring freedom of capital movement and effective risk diversification. For business, it is a powerful instrument for relocation, scaling, and tax burden optimization, with direct access to the EU single market. For your family, a Romanian passport becomes a guarantee of security and stability, allowing you, where necessary, to change your place of residence within the European Union quickly and without unnecessary formalities.

Visa-Free Destinations with a Romanian Passport

Romanian Citizenship Processing Obtain a Romanian passport and unlock all the opportunities available to an EU citizen

Visa Free — 116 countries

The holder of a Romanian passport enjoys all the advantages of citizenship of a European Union country. Among them is the ability to cross the borders of developed countries without obtaining a visa in advance.

27 countries of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hundary and other).

Visa on Arrival — 46 countries

ETA (electronic travel authorization) — 8 countries

A Romanian passport entitles its holder to visit 8 countries with prior online visa authorization. This takes minimal time and eliminates the need to obtain the document at a consulate or visa center.

It should be noted that Romanian citizens enjoy a clear advantage when obtaining visas to Canada and the United States as compared with residents of post-Soviet countries. For example, the U.S. visa refusal rate for Romanians is less than 3%, which is significantly lower than 20% — the average refusal rate for CIS countries. Romanian citizens are refused Canadian visas in approximately 5% of cases, whereas for the post-Soviet republics the average refusal rate is 72%.

We Go Through Every Stage with You

1 stage

Your cooperation with Jurpass begins with an individual consultation. A specialist conducts a detailed analysis of your request, genealogy, and personal circumstances, formulates a citizenship processing strategy, and answers all key questions. At this stage, you and the company sign an agreement setting out the terms of cooperation — the parties’ obligations, timeframes, and the cost of services — which ensures transparency and predictability throughout the process.

2 stage

For the dossier to be accepted for review, it must be impeccably prepared in accordance with Romanian law — this is handled by Jurpass’s lawyers. All foreign documents are translated into Romanian, legalized, and apostilled.

3 stage

The prepared dossier is submitted to the ANC head office in Bucharest or to one of its regional offices. On the day of submission, the case is assigned a registration number by which its status may be tracked online.

4 stage

Review of the application takes an average of 1.5 to 2 years; however, the stability of the procedure and the demand for the program make the wait justified. In the event of a positive decision, an order granting citizenship is issued, and you are notified of this by registered mail.

5 stage

Official acquisition of citizenship occurs at the moment you receive your citizenship certificate.

6 stage

The final step is the processing of domestic documents. After registration with the civil registry office and receipt of the birth and marriage certificates, a package of documents is submitted for issuance of the identity card. This document opens the way to obtaining an EU international passport and confirms your status as a full citizen of the European Union.

I am satisfied with my cooperation with Jurpass — everything was clear, well-organized, and professional. I approached the company regarding obtaining a second passport in the EU, and I needed a faster option. During the consultation, we determined that Romanian citizenship was the optimal solution. The team worked conscientiously — they found documents confirming my ancestors’ ties to Romania, helped me assemble the dossier, and submit it together with the citizenship application. They supported, assisted, and advised me at every step. As a result, I obtained a Romanian passport. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I were looking for a way to move to Spain, but we were not prepared to deal with residence permits and live for many years before obtaining a passport. We explored many options and then sought advice from Jurpass. We were offered an interesting solution — to obtain Romanian passports and move to Spain with them. Everything with Romania proceeded smoothly; my ancestors lived in Bukovina, so I was entitled to Romanian citizenship. The strategy was rather unconventional, but everything worked out. The lawyers were excellent and handled almost everything themselves. After 15 months, I received my passport, and my husband and I were able to move to Seville.

The processing of Romanian citizenship with Jurpass went smoothly and without unnecessary difficulties. At first, I was told in detail about all the stages and requirements; they helped me gather all the necessary documents and checked them for compliance. The process was very transparent, and I was always kept informed of the case’s progress. Thanks to the team’s professionalism, I obtained citizenship within the agreed timeframe. I am now officially a citizen of Romania and am ready to take advantage of all the opportunities the EU offers. Many thanks to Jurpass for the support and high-quality assistance!

I appreciated that everything was agreed in advance and that no unexpected issues arose afterward. No additional payments, no force majeure. Well done — keep it up!
